How to create transparent header images in Artisteer
0In this video I will show you how to create transparent headers in Artisteer 2.3.
I am using Paint.net (freeware http://www.getpaint.net) to create the image, but you can use any other tool as long as it supports transparent images, like .png or .gif files. Artisteer will support both.
First create or edit your image in Paint.NET. To remove the background, use the “Magic Wand” tool, select the background and simply delete it.
Then export the image as .PNG file. Once done, switch to Artisteer, go to “Headers” tab and in the “foreground photo” section, click “from file” to insert the image. Then you can move it around using the “position” button.

The Quick Access Toolbar is a customizable toolbar that allows to create shortcuts (icons) to the most frequently used commands and tasks.
By default, it contains sommand s such as Open, Save, Undo, Redo and Export, but you can add or remove other icons and commands as you like.
To add a new item, simply right-click on the desired command button in the Navigation Bar and select the “Add to Quick Access Toolbar” option.

Joomla module positions in Artisteer
0Joomla supports the use of “module positions”, which are simply “areas” where you can display your joomla modules.
Each Joomla template can have different module positions (left, right, top, bottom…), based on the template developer and the design of the template itself.
You can have a preview of the available module positions in your template, by simply going to your website and adding the “?tp=1″ parameter to your URL
This will enable a preview of the different module positions in the current template, highlighted in red. The picture below shows the module positions of a template generated with Artisteer
Artisteer supports many different module positions for your Joomla template. A complete list of available module positions supported by Artisteer is available on their official site, as shown below.
